Nutty Yams - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 lb. yams or sweet potatoes
salt and pepper
6 Tbsp. butter
3/4 c. chopped pecans
4 Tbsp. brown sugar
3/4 c. milk
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
Preparation

Heat oven to 325\u00b0.
Butter a shallow, 2-quart baking dish. Cut yams into quarters.
Put in a large pot of salted water; bring to a boil and cook until tender, about 15 minutes.
Drain, peel and mash.
