Coffee Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. shortening
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 c. milk
    1/2 tsp. salt
    4 1/2 c. flour
    1 pkg. dry yeast
Preparation
    Warm together shortening, sugar, milk and yeast.
    (Check yeast first.)
    Add salt and flour and knead dough.
    Let set 1 1/2 hours (about double).
    Knock down and let rise again to double.
    Roll dough to approximately
    12 x 18-inches (jelly roll).
    Brush butter and add sugar and cinnamon.
    (Roll up as for jelly roll.)
    Can also add sliced apples and nuts.
    Cut about 1-inch thick and put in pan.
    Butter tops of dough and let rise again to double.
    Bake in a 350\u00b0 oven for about 20 to 25 minutes, until very brown.
