Mom'S Brownies - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. shortening
7 Tbsp. cocoa
1/2 tsp. baking powder
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
3/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/4 c. sugar
1 c. coarsely chopped nuts
Preparation

Melt shortening and cocoa over hot water; cool.
Sift flour with baking powder and salt.
Beat eggs until light; add sugar, then chocolate mixture.
Blend.
Add flour, vanilla and nuts; mix well.
Pour batter in 8-inch square pan (greased and floured). Bake in 350\u00b0 oven for 30 to 35 minutes.
Cool; cut into squares and serve.
