Malasadas - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 pkg. yeast
1 tsp. sugar
1/4 c. warm water
6 eggs
6 c. flour
1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 c. evaporated milk
1 c. water
1/4 c. melted butter
Preparation

Dissolve yeast and the 1 teaspoon sugar in warm water.
Beat eggs very well.
Measure flour, 1/2 cup sugar and salt into large bowl; make a well and add yeast, eggs, milk, water and butter. Beat well to form soft smooth dough.
Cover and let rise until doubled.
With a circular motion following edge of bowl, turn dough and let rise until doubled.
Heat deep fat to 375\u00b0.
Spoon teaspoonfuls of dough carefully from bowl to keep risen dough from falling.
Drop into fat and fry until brown.
Drain on paper towels; shake in bag with sugar.
Serve hot.
Makes 5 to 6 dozen.
