Blonde Brownies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 1/2 c. brown sugar
    1 Tbsp. water
    2 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 1/2 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. baking soda
    1 1/2 c. chocolate bits
Preparation
    Cream shortening, brown sugar and water.
    Add eggs and vanilla and mix well.
    Sift flour, baking powder and baking soda.
    Stir into brown sugar mixture.
    Pour into greased 9 x 13-inch pan and sprinkle with chocolate bits.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 35 minutes.
