3 Tbsp. shortening
4 Tbsp. cream
1 c. milk
6 level Tbsp. flour
4 Tbsp. cream
Preparation

Cook
first
3 ingredients until thick and brown.
(The browner
it
is
the more butterscotch taste it has.) Then mix last
3
ingredients
together.
Add to first mixture and cook until thick, stirring constantly.
Pour into baked pie shell.
