Buttermilk Biscuits - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sifted flour
    3 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. soda
    5 Tbsp. Crisco
    1 c. buttermilk
Preparation
    Sift dry ingredients.
    Cut in shortening until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
    Add buttermilk all at once.
    Stir with a fork until dough makes a ball.
    Turn out; knead 1/2 minute.
    Roll out 3/8-inch thick.
    Cut out.
    Bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 450\u00b0 for 12 minutes.
    Makes 12 to 15 biscuits.
