Old-Fashioned Chocolate Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 sq. baking chocolate
    5 Tbsp. hot water
    1/2 c. butter
    1 1/2 c. granulated sugar
    4 eggs, separated
    1 3/4 c. sifted cake flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. milk
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Melt the chocolate in top of
    double
    boiler
    with the 5 tablespoons water.\tCream the butter
    and
    sugar
    well, add the egg yolks and whip.
    Add
    melted
    chocolate,
    slightly
    cooled, the flour sifted with the baking powder and salt, and the milk. Fold in the stiffly whipped egg
    whites and vanilla.
    Pour into greased and floured 13 x 9 x
    2-inch
    pan
    and bake in moderate 350\u00b0 oven for 40 to 45 minutes.
