Mary Arrington'S Dried Fruit Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 eggs, slightly beaten
    1 c. sugar
    1 Tbsp. flour
    1 c. sweet milk
    1 c. stewed fruit (dried apples or peaches)
    3 Tbsp. sugar (for meringue)
Preparation
    Separate eggs.
    Mix all ingredients with egg yolks thoroughly. Pour into an unbaked pie shell.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for about 40 minutes or until filling is getting firm all over except center. (Do not overcook.)
    Top with stiffly beaten egg whites to which 3 tablespoons sugar has been added.
    Brown in slow oven, about 12 minutes.
