Mother'S Molasses Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. molasses
    1 c. shortening
    1 Tbsp. vinegar
    1 Tbsp. ginger
    1 Tbsp. soda, dissolved in 1 c. hot water
    1 tsp. vanilla
    3 1/2 c. flour (approximately)
Preparation
    Mix thoroughly.
    Let stand for 2 hours (overnight is better) before rolling out and bake at 350\u00b0 for about 10 minutes.
