Taco Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 to 2 lb. ground round
    1 (1.25 oz.) pkg. Ortega taco seasoning mix
    1/2 c. water *
    1 (15 oz.) can red kidney beans, drained *
    1 (8 oz.) pkg. plain tortilla chips or corn chips (chips may be crushed or left whole)
    2 ripe tomatoes, chopped
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1 1/2 c. grated Cheddar cheese
    1 head lettuce, shredded
    1 (12 oz.) carton sour cream
Preparation
    *Note:
    I do not use water and I do not drain the beans.
