Chicken With Forty Cloves Of Garlic - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 Tbsp. butter
    1 Tbsp. olive oil
    1 (3 1/2 lb.) chicken, cut into 8 pieces or 6 chicken breasts
    salt and pepper
    1 head garlic, peeled and blanched in boiling water for 10 minutes
    1/2 c. dry white wine
    1 c. beef stock or canned beef broth
Preparation
    In a large, deep skillet over medium-high heat, warm 1 tablespoon of the butter and the oil until hot.
    Add the chicken; season with salt and pepper.
    Brown it on all sides.
    Distribute the garlic cloves around the chicken.
    Cover and cook the chicken over medium-low heat for 30 to 35 minutes, or until juices run clear.
