Aunt Ella'S Cinnamon Kuchen - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 packet yeast, dissolved in 1/2 c. warm water
    1/2 c. shortening or margarine, creamed with 1/2 c. sugar
    1 egg
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. cold water
    flour
Preparation
    Combine first 5 ingredients.
    Add enough flour to make a stiff dough; cover and keep warm and allow to raise until double in size.
    Punch down and divide into 2 parts.
    Pat down in a greased pie plate to about 1/2-inch thickness.
    Let raise again until double.
    Brush with melted butter and sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon.
    Bake in moderate oven (350\u00b0) until lightly browned.
