Plum Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 gal. or 8 c. plums
    1 pt. vinegar
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. cloves
    1 tsp. allspice
    6 2/3 c. sugar
Preparation
    Boil plums for 8 minutes.
    Drain off water.
    Add vinegar to plums and bring to good boil. Mix cinnamon, cloves, allspice and sugar.
    Add to plums and vinegar.
    Boil for 45 minutes.
    Pour in jars and seal while hot.
