Kahlua - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. boiling water
    2 oz. instant coffee
    4 c. sugar
    3 or 3 1/2 c. or half and half vodka or brandy
    1 black vanilla bean, split in half lengthwise
Preparation
    Boil water.
    Add coffee and sugar.
    Stir over medium heat until clear.
    Cool and, with brandy or vodka and vanilla bean (split), put into glass jar.
    Cover with foil or something to make it dark so light doesn't get in.
    Let sit in dark place for at least 30 days.
