Traditional Potato Latkes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 green onions, thinly sliced
    2 baking potatoes (1 lb.), shredded
    2 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
    1 egg
    3/4 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. black pepper
    2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
    applesauce or sour cream (optional)
Preparation
    Combine green onions, potatoes, flour, egg, salt and pepper in a large bowl.
    Heat 1 1/2 teaspoons oil in a medium nonstick skillet over medium heat.
    Drop mixture by slightly rounded measuring tablespoonfuls into skillet, spreading level with back of spoon.
