Oatmeal Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. boiling water
    1 c. Quick oats
    1/2 c. butter
    1 c. brown sugar
    1 c. white sugar
    2 eggs
    1 1/2 c. flour
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Pour water over oats and cool 20 minutes.
    Cream butter and sugars; add eggs, one at a time and beat well.
    Then add oatmeal mixture.
    Blend in sifted dry ingredients and vanilla.
    If desired, blend in 1 cup chopped nuts.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for 35 to 40 minutes in 9 x 13-inch pan.
