Pistachio Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 box pistachio instant pudding (3.4 oz.)
    1 can undrained crushed pineapple
    1 can of fruit cocktail or other fruit (15 oz.)
    2 cups marshmallows
    1 container of cool whip (8 oz.)
    1/2 c. nuts (optional)
    8 maraschino cherries (optional- for decoration)
Preparation
    Stir the pudding and crushed pineapple together for several minutes until it thickens. Drain the fruit cocktail. Add the fruit, nuts and marshmallows to the pudding. Mix in the cool whip. Chill 2 hours or more.
