Chow-Chow - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 qt. watermelon rind
    3 qt. cauliflower
    3 qt. pickles
    3 qt. celery
    3 qt. red pepper
    3 qt. string beans (green and yellow)
    3 qt. carrots
    1 qt. onions
    1 qt. lima beans
    1 qt. kidney beans
    1 qt. dried navy beans
Preparation
    Soak dried beans overnight and cook next morning, not over-soft, about 20 minutes.
    Salt lightly.
    Cook each vegetable until soft.
    Mix together and put into jars.
    Add syrup, which has been brought to a boil.
    Cold pack 10 minutes in a cold water bath.
