Turtle Cake - cooking recipe

1 German chocolate cake mix
1 stick margarine
1 pkg. caramels
1 can Eagle Brand condensed milk
1 (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 c. pecan pieces
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
Prepare cake mix according to package directions.
Pour 1/2 of cake batter in a greased and floured 9 x 13-inch cake pan.
Bake 15 minutes.
While cake cools, melt together margarine, caramels and condensed milk.
Pour over cooled cake.
Sprinkle chocolate chips and pecan pieces evenly over cake. Pour remaining batter over this and bake 20 minutes at 350\u00b0. When cake is cool, frost with Pepsi Icing.
