Sweet Sour Dill Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 onion, sliced
    2 stalks celery
    2 pieces fresh dill
    cucumbers
    4 c. sugar
    1/2 c. salt (coarse)
    1 qt. vinegar
    1 pt. water
Preparation
    Wash cucumbers and cut in quarters, enough to fill 4 quart jars.
    Add 3 or 4 slices of onions, 2 stalks celery and 2 pieces of dill.
    Heat the sugar, salt, vinegar and water very hot and pour over pickles. Seal at once. Put in cool, dark place and let set 30 days, then eat.
