Southern Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/4 c. butter or margarine, softened
    2 3/4 c. sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    3 c. plain flour
    1 c. evaporated milk
    5 eggs
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Heat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Grease and flour tube pan or Bundt pan. Measure butter, sugar, eggs and vanilla into large mixing bowl. Blend 1/2 minute on low speed, scraping bowl constantly.
    Beat 5 minutes on high speed, scraping bowl occasionally.
    On low speed, mix in flour, baking powder and salt alternately with milk.
    Pour into pan.
    Bake 70 to 80 minutes or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean.
    Cool in pan about 20 minutes.
    Remove from pan.
