Turtle Brownies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 German chocolate cake mix
    3/4 c. melted butter
    1 c. chopped pecans
    2/3 c. evaporated milk
    6 oz. pkg. chocolate chips
    14 oz. pkg. caramels
Preparation
    In heavy saucepan, melt caramels and 1/3 cup evaporated milk slowly over low heat.
    Combine cake mix, butter, nuts and 1/3 cup evaporated milk.
    Spread half of batter in a 9 x 13-inch pan that is greased and floured.
    Bake 6 minutes at 350\u00b0.
    Sprinkle chocolate chips on top.
    Spread caramel mixture over chips.
    Drop remaining batter with a spoon on top of caramel, spacing evenly. Bake 15 to 18 minutes longer.
    Do not overbake.
    These will be chewy but delicious!
