Glogg - cooking recipe
Ingredients

5 dl (2 c.) water
2 bitter (sour) orange peels (Seville, pomarans)
2 pieces dried ginger (fresh should also work)
2 dried cinnamon sticks
10 to 15 whole dried cloves
2 tsp. cardamon kernels
1 bottle red wine
1 dl (2/5 c.) sugar
vodka or brandy
Preparation

Boil the spices with the water in a pan under lid on low heat for about 30 minutes.
Pour liquid through a strainer.
Mix with wine and sugar.
If desired, add about 1 dl (2/5 cup) vodka or brandy to make the glogg stronger.
Serve the glogg hot (don't let it boil) in small cups or glasses.
Traditional condiments are peeled almonds and raisins that you put into the glogg.
