Cheese-Tomato Bake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 medium tomatoes, peeled
1 tsp. sugar
dash of pepper
8 oz. sharp cheese, shredded
1/2 c. finely chopped celery
1/4 c. finely chopped onion
1 c. soft bread crumbs
2 Tbsp. butter, melted
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
Slice tomatoes into fourths; sprinkle with sugar and pepper.
In bowl, toss together cheese, celery and onion.
Place half of the tomato slices into a greased 10 x 6 x 1 3/4-inch baking dish.
Sprinkle on half of the cheese mixture over tomato slices.
Repeat layers.
Toss crumbs with butter; sprinkle over casserole mixture.
Bake for 25 to 30 minutes.
Serves 6.
