Sweet Potatoes Creole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    sweet potatoes
    butter
    brown sugar
    dash of mace
    sprinkle of salt
    grated orange rind
Preparation
    Cut boiled sweet potatoes lengthwise; place in shallow pan. Cover generously with butter and brown sugar.
    Add mace, salt and orange rind.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 until sugar and butter have formed a thick syrup, about 1 hour.
    Very good with baked ham or ham croquettes.
