Pretty No-Guilt Sand Tarts - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. butter
1 c. granulated sugar
1 egg
2 tsp. vanilla
2 2/3 c. all-purpose flour
colored sugar for decorating
Preparation

Cream butter and sugar with electric mixer until light.
Add egg and vanilla; beat until fluffy.
Stir in flour.
Tear 3 sheets of wax paper about 12 inches long.
Form dough into rolls on paper (approximately 1 1/2 inches in diameter).
Dough will be very soft.
Roll dough in a thick layer of colored sugar.
Wrap in wax paper and refrigerate until firm.
May be stored in refrigerator several days or frozen for several weeks.
Preheat oven to 375\u00b0. Remove from paper and slice thin with a very sharp knife.
Bake for 10 minutes or until lightly brown.
