Southern Lady Cake - cooking recipe

1 (18 1/4 oz.) orange supreme cake mix
1/3 c. sugar
2 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
1 c. sour cream
2/3 c. vegetable oil
1/2 tsp. orange extract
4 eggs
1 (11 oz.) can mandarin oranges, well drained
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
Spray a 12-cup tube pan with cooking spray or grease and dust with flour.
In a large mixing bowl of an electric mixer, combine the cake mix, sugar and flour, then add the sour cream, vegetable oil and orange extract, mixing at low speed. Add eggs one at a time.
Increase speed to medium and beat for 2 minutes.
Stir in the mandarin oranges until they are well distributed.
Pour batter into the prepared tube pan.
Bake for 45 to 50 minutes or until cake tester inserted comes out clean.
When done, remove the cake from the oven and allow to cool in the pan for about 15 minutes.
Then invert the cooled cake onto a plate or wire rack.
