Old-Fashioned Tea Cakes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2/3 c. liquid shortening
    2/3 c. buttermilk
    2 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    1 Tbsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Mix all ingredients together.
    Using self-rising flour, make a hole in center of flour and pour in mixture.
    Work in flour until dough is firm enough to roll out on floured cloth.
    (Roll fairly thin.)
    Cut with cookie cutters.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 until brown.
    (Will cook fast.)
    Makes about 6 dozen.
