Gulumpkies(Or Polish Stuffed Cabbage) - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 large heads cabbage
2 lb. ground meat (pork and beef)
1/2 c. rice
salt
pepper
garlic salt
1 Tbsp. parsley flakes
1/4 tsp. oregano
1 egg
milk
tomato juice
onions
sour cream
chives
Preparation

Saute onions in butter.
In large kettle, fill with water to boil for cabbage.
Beat egg and add in enough milk to make 1/2 cup. Put cabbage in boiling water and separate the leaves.
Place meat mixture in large bowl; add egg and milk mixture, rice and all the seasonings.
Mix well with hands.
Add sauteed onions and blend well.
Cut thick core off cabbage leaves.
Lay aside.
Add the meat mixture in each cabbage leave, one at a time.
Roll the leaf up. Place Gulumpkies in oblong baking pan.
Pour tomato juice over the stuffed cabbage.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 1/2 hours.
Serve with sour cream and chives on top.
