Old Fashioned Bread Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. milk
    4 c. coarse bread crumbs
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/4 c. melted butter
    2 eggs, beaten
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. raisins
    1 tsp. cinnamon or nutmeg
Preparation
    Heat milk to scalding; pour over bread crumbs.
    Cool; add melted butter, sugar, eggs, salt, raisins and cinnamon or nutmeg. Pour into well-greased 1 1/2-quart casserole.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 40 to 45 minutes, until knife inserted comes out clean.
    Serve warm with or without sauce or cream.
    Makes 6 servings.
