White Clam Sauce With Linguini - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. oil
    1/2 c. butter
    1 Tbsp. dried basil
    red and black pepper to taste
    6 cloves garlic, crushed
    1 doz. large clams or 2 cans whole baby clams
    3 Tbsp. grated Locatelli cheese
    1 lb. linguini, cooked and drained
Preparation
    Warm oil in saucepan with butter.
    Add the basil, red and black pepper, garlic and cheese.
    Bring to a boil.
    Add clams and juice. Bring to a second boil.
    Pour over linguini.
    Serves 4.
