Bird In A Bag - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 hen turkey, 8 to 10 lb.
1 large brown gravy bag
shortening
Preparation

Thaw
turkey completely.
Remove inside packages.
Cook neck in 4 cups of water to make stock; set aside for gravy and dressing.
Rinse turkey, pat dry with paper towel.\tGrease the inside
of\tpaper bag with shortening and place turkey inside. Roll
up
end
and\tplace
in
roasting
pan,
breast side up. Preheat oven
to
325\u00b0
and bake on lower rack for about 2 1/2 hours.
Turkey
cooks much faster using this method and browns well.

carefully.
Cool for at least 20 minutes before carving.
