Orange Slice Cake - cooking recipe

8 oz. pitted dates
1 lb. orange slices cut up
1 c. chopped nuts
2 c. sugar
1 c. margarine
4 eggs
1/2 c. buttermilk
3 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. soda
1 can coconut
Preparation

Roll dates, candy and nuts in 1/2 c. flour. Cream margarine and sugar; add eggs and buttermilk. Sift flour and soda and fold in candy mixture. Add coconut. Pour into floured tube pan. Bake for 3 hours at 250 degrees. Glaze while hot.
