Fresh Apple Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2/3 c. shortening
2 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 c. flour
2 tsp. soda
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. nuts (optional)
2 tsp. cinnamon
6 medium apples, chopped
Preparation

Cream the sugar and shortening. Add eggs and blend well.
Sift flour, soda, salt and cinnamon. Add vanilla to creamed mixture, then blend in the dry ingredients.
Fold in the apples and nuts to the other mixture. Bake in a 9 x 13-inch or larger pan at 350\u00b0 for 45 minutes.
