Nana'S Foolproof Rolls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 or 2 cakes yeast
    2 or 3 eggs
    1/3 c. sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 pt. lukewarm water
    3 pt. flour
Preparation
    Dissolve yeast cakes in water.
    Add remaining ingredients; mix well.
    Cover and let rise until double.
    Punch down.
    Let rise again.
    Turn out on floured board and knead 8 to 10 times.
    Roll out to about 1/4-inch thick.
    Cut rolls into desired shape.
    Place on lightly oiled cookie sheet and let rise about 15 minutes. Brush with egg white and a little water, mixed.
    Bake about 15 to 20 minutes at 350\u00b0 to 400\u00b0.
