Overnight Lettuce Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 head lettuce, shredded
    1 c. carrots, chopped
    1 c. green onions, chopped
    1 c. celery, chopped
    1 c. green peppers, chopped
    1 c. frozen peas, boiled 1 minute
    1 c. mayonnaise
    1 c. sour cream
    3-1/2 tsp. sugar
    1 c. cheddar cheese, shredded
    12 strips bacon, cooked and crumbled, or bacon bits
Preparation
    Spread lettuce in 9 x 12 inch dish and add the next 5 ingredients in layers. Mix mayonnaise, sour cream and sugar, and spread over mixture, being certain to cover completely to the edges. Top with shredded cheese and bacon. Cover tightly with plastic wrap and refrigerate at least 12 hours.
