Perfect Corn Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. flour
    1/4 c. sugar
    4 tsp. baking powder
    3/4 tsp. salt
    1 c. cornmeal
    2 eggs
    1 c. milk
    1/4 c. shortening
Preparation
    Sift
    flour with sugar, baking powder and salt; stir in cornmeal.
    Add
    eggs,
    milk
    and
    shortening.
    Beat until just smooth.
    (Do
    not overbeat.) Pour into greased 9 x 9-inch pan. Bake at 450\u00b0 for 20 to 25 minutes.
