Hush Puppies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. cornmeal (plain)
1/2 c. self-rising flour
1 egg
1 tsp. salt
1 onion, chopped
1 c. buttermilk

Preparation

Mix all the ingredients with enough buttermilk to make it smooth.
Spoon by teaspoonfuls in hot grease and cook until browned.
