Dutch Almond Slices(Jan Hagel) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. butter
    1/2 c. margarine
    3/4 c. sugar
    1 egg yolk
    2 c. flour
    1 tsp. ground cinnamon
    1/4 tsp. baking soda
    1 beaten egg white
    1/2 c. almond slices
    Powdered Sugar Icing (optional)
Preparation
    In a mixing bowl, beat the butter and margarine for 30 seconds. Add sugar and beat until fluffy.
    Add egg yolk; beat well.
