Batter Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. corn meal
2 eggs, beaten together
2 1/2 c. sour milk
1 level tsp. soda
1 rounded tsp. salt
lard (the size of an egg)
Preparation

Beat eggs, meal, salt and 1 cup milk together well.
Thin with remaining milk.
Melt lard in the dish it is to be baked in and pour in the batter.
Last, add the soda.
Let the oven be hot when the bread is put in.
