Howard'S Panocha - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 c. brown sugar
    dash of salt
    1 Tbsp. light corn syrup
    1 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    3/4 c. evaporated milk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 c. broken nuts
Preparation
    Combine sugar, salt, corn syrup, butter and milk.
    Cook in heavy saucepan, stirring until sugar dissolves to soft ball stage (238\u00b0).
    Cool at room temperature without stirring until lukewarm (110\u00b0).
    Add
    vanilla.
    Beat
    until mixture holds its shape and loses gloss.
    Add nuts and quickly spread in greased pan.
    Cool and eat and get fat!!
