Baked Custard - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 medium size eggs
1/3 c. sugar or 2 to 3 Tbsp. honey (depending on sweetness desired)
1/2 tsp. salt (optional)
1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 c. milk or 1 1/4 c. evaporated milk plus 1 1/4 c. water
nutmeg (optional)
Preparation

Beat eggs slightly with a whisk.
Add sugar or honey, salt and vanilla.
Add cold milk and whisk until thoroughly mixed.
Pour into individual custard cups.
Sprinkle with nutmeg, if desired. Place in
pan 2 to 2 1/2 inches deep.
Pour boiling water around the cups so that the water comes about to the level of the custard.
Bake in moderate oven (350\u00b0) for 40 to 50 minutes or until a stainless steel knife comes out clean when inserted in the center.
Remove from water and let cool. Chill and serve plain in cups.
