Buttermilk Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. sugar
    1 c. shortening
    6 eggs
    3 c. flour
    1/4 tsp. soda
    1/8 tsp. salt
    1 1/4 c. buttermilk
    2 tsp. vanilla
    2 tsp. butter flavor
Preparation
    Cream sugar and shortening.
    Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each.
    Sift dry ingredients together.
    Add flour mixture alternately with buttermilk.
    Stir in flavorings.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for about 1 to 1 1/2 hours in greased and floured Bundt pan or 2 loaf pans.
    Cook 15 minutes and shake to loosen before turning over.
    Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
    Serve plain or with a couple tablespoons warm peach or strawberry preserves.
    Makes 12 servings.
