One Day Cucumber Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 lb. cucumbers
    2 c. lime
    1 gal. water
    2 Tbsp. salt
    2 Tbsp. spices
    11 c. (5 lb. plus 1 c.) sugar
    2 qt. vinegar
Preparation
    Wash
    and
    slice
    cucumbers (1/2 inch).
    In a container mix water and lime.
    Pour over cucumbers.
    Let stand 24 hours. Remove and
    wash
    5
    times.
    Put
    into kettle (stockpot).\tMix salt, sugar,
    spices
    and vinegar.
    Pour over cucumbers.\tLet stand 3 hours.
    Place pot on stove, bring to a boil, simmer 30 minutes. Pack into hot jars and seal.
