Strawberry Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1 1/2 c. water
    1/2 c. cornstarch
    1/8 tsp. salt
    1 small box strawberry jello
    1 to 1 1/2 c. fresh strawberries
Preparation
    Cook sugar, water, cornstarch and salt, stirring constantly, until clear.
    Add jello and mix well.
    Cool and add berries. Frozen berries may be used, but use 3/4 cup sugar instead of 1 1/2 cups.
    Pour into baked pie shell.
    Serve with Cool Whip or whipped cream.
