Elva'S "Captain'S Soup" - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 Tbsp. oil or margarine
1 medium onion, chopped
1 lb. ground beef
5 or 6 fresh mushrooms, sliced
1 (24 oz.) can V-8 juice
1 can cream of celery soup (undiluted)
1 can cream of mushroom soup (undiluted)
1 large potato, diced
1 (10 oz.) box frozen mixed vegetables
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 pinch dried sweetened basil
pinch dried thyme
Preparation

Cook chopped onion in oil or margarine in large pan until soft.
Add beef and mushrooms.
Cook, stirring until all pink has left meat.
Add three cans and stir until smooth.
Add frozen vegetables, potato and seasonings.
Bring to boil and simmer for 1/2 hour, stirring occasionally.
Serve as main dish with fresh bread.
