Jackie Pierce'S Just Plain Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

5 eggs
2 1/2 c. sugar
2 3/4 c. flour
2 sticks butter
1/2 c. Crisco
3/4 c. milk
1 tsp. lemon extract
1 tsp. baking powder
dash of salt
Preparation

Cream butter, Crisco and sugar together.
Add one egg at a time and beat well.
Add flour, mixed with remaining dry ingredients and add alternately with milk.
Beat until smooth. Pour batter into greased and floured tube pan.
Cook in 325\u00b0 oven for one hour and 15 minutes.
Cool on rack.
