Boone Tavern Satin Pie(Berea, Ky) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. butter or oleo
    1 c. extra fine dessert sugar
    3/4 c. cocoa
    4 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 tsp. almond extract
Preparation
    In electric mixer, whip butter until fluffy.
    Sift sugar and cocoa; add slowly to butter on low speed.
    Increase speed as mixture is blended.
    Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
    Whip on high speed until consistency of whipped cream.
    Add vanilla and almond extract and blend.
    Pour mixture into baked or crumb crust shell (10-inch) and refrigerate to set at least 1 1/2 to 2 hours.
    May be made a day prior to serving. Top with whipped cream and garnish with chopped nuts.
    Very rich pie and easily serves 10.
