Crisp Gingersnaps - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. cloves
    1 tsp. ginger
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    3 tsp. baking soda
    3/4 c. vegetable shortening (Crisco)
    1 c. granulated sugar
    1 egg
    1/4 c. light molasses
Preparation
    Omitting sugar, mix dry ingredients together in large bowl. Cream shortening and sugar by hand.
    Add egg and molasses to shortening mixture and blend.
    Stir in flour mixture, blend well together by hand.
    Shape into 1-inch balls.
    Roll in some granulated sugar.
    Press lightly.
    Bake 8 to 10 minutes on ungreased sheet in 350\u00b0 oven.
